1. Who we are
MomEase (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the MomEase mobile app and the website momease. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it. If a question isn't answered here, email support@momease.app.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information — name, email address, and a password when you register (or an OAuth identifier if you sign in with Google or Apple).
- Wellness content you create — journal entries, mood check-ins, saved meditations, meal favourites, sleep-sound preferences, and community posts.
- Messages — anything you send our AI assistant, and messages you send in the community.
- Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We never see or store your full card details on our servers.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — screens visited, features used, session length. Used to diagnose issues and improve the app.
- Device and technical data — device model, operating system, app version, language.
- Notifications — a push token so we can send reminders and updates you have opted into.
- Biometric authentication — Face ID / fingerprint is processed by your device only. We never receive biometric templates.
3. How we use your information
- Provide and operate the app (deliver meditations, meals, sounds, journal, community, AI assistant).
- Personalize recommendations based on your preferences and activity.
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Send transactional messages (subscription receipts, reminders you scheduled).
- Send optional wellness nudges — you can turn these off any time in Settings.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share only what's needed with the vendors that power the app. Each is bound by contract not to sell or repurpose your data.
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Stripe — subscription payments. Handles cards; we never see them.
- OpenAI (or equivalent AI provider) — receives the message you send to the AI assistant and the minimum context needed to reply. Not used to train someone else's model.
- Expo push notification service — delivers the reminders you opted into.
We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or hand it to data brokers.
5. Data retention
- Account and content: for as long as your account exists.
- Subscription and payment records: kept as long as required by financial regulation (typically 7 years).
- Server logs: anonymized after 30 days.

You can access, correct, or delete your data any time from Settings, or by emailing support@momease.app. See our Delete account page for the deletion flow.
7. Security
- All network traffic uses TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are hashed and salted; never stored in plain text.
- Database access is scoped per-user by row-level security policies.
- Optional Face ID / fingerprint lock inside the app for extra protection.
8. Children
MomEase is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process your data in Canada, the United States, and other regions where they operate, under contractual protections equivalent to your home jurisdiction.
